Partzilla

I have had very good customer service from Partzilla.com. They have live chat on the site which I found VERY informative as regards updated parts for the Gen 1 head cover (i.e. notorious valve cover leak).

Also, the Kawasaki specced sealant for the head cover gasket, TB1207B was difficult to find but Mat "The Flowmaster" dug into his data for me to find the right part and it was delivered quickly. Mat is one person you can count on if there is a problem finding the exact item you need to have. If you need his help, ask for him at the phone number on top of the Partzilla home page.

Just bought some OEM oil filters and drain plug gaskets. Very fast shipping and great price. I am a happy customer.

6 days to ship order....

I ordered disc gaskets and some OEM filters from there. Ordered 3/12, just now received email 3/18, that "your order has shipped". This isn't even true, all that's been done is package list was created.

Also price of oil filter got visited by the magical pixie, looking for the part the price shows up as $10.94, then changed to $12+ in the cart.

Very disappointing, slowest shipping I've had in quite a while. So much for getting my new rims and tires ready by Saturday. I really need my new tires on the bike.

I just used partzilla to get a centrestand for my 2009 ZX. Delivered to Perth, WA in five days from ordering. Well impressed. Will use again.

2009 model, CENTRESTAND !!!! K+N air filter, Zero Gravity screen, Yoshimura R77 slipons, Power commander V, K+N oil filter (with wrench nut, so easy to remove), Pro bolt stainless all over (costa fortune, but great pommie product)

I hope the "Flowmaster" is still there and he got a big promotion.

Partzilla has been my first choice for OEM parts. Lowest prices and fast shipping.

Here's a price comparison I did, albeit June 2014:

OEM parts with a price comparison sample done on 6/6/14 for an '04 RC51 OEM magnesium clutch cover (shipping will vary I'm sure, and 'rewards', etc):

- BikeBandit.com $118.82
- CheapCycleParts.com $107.76
- partspitstop.com $101.32
- MrCyles.com $100.31
- Honda East Toledo $94.99
- Partzilla.com $91.19

Haven't needed OEM parts so much since I sold the RC51, so I'm sure things have changed, and therefore I dunno who's lowest today.

Partzilla was great to work with but for those OEM parts that are not likely to have suffered any wear, I'd have a look at Ebay. I've had nothing but good luck buying engine covers on Ebay. If the photo looks good and it's listed as being in good condition with no defects, it is probably every bit as good as OEM if you can live with a couple paint chips and some easily cleaned grime. A clutch cover for $25 and free shipping is hard to argue with.

I usually can't either but I'm painting these orange anyway. After looking at them, they are in no worse condition than my original engine covers so in this case, it's an inexpensive alternative to painting the originals.
