You're the one who originally posted it Here's YOUR post......

A1A Sportbike now has ultra-miniature 55W HID kits for the ZX14 available in 8k, 6k, and I think 4k. 55W 6,000K rocks. Even 4,000k is cool, if you don't want to look like a blue christmas tree ornament.
Ultra-Mini 55W Plug-And-Play
They claim the kit has OEM connectors and is Plug-N-Play (!!!!!) It clearly has the Ignitor (Starter) and Ballast combined in one very small unit.
No idea what the quality is, unless someone has purchased one already".

http://www.ebay.com/itm/320623507681 (got them in 3 days, quality looks great, igniter self contained, and Digital)
I bought those and could not be happier, balasts smaller than a deck of cards, plug & play also. Old ones on my 14 has HUGE balasts and took a bit to come to temperature. These seem to come right up!

Ya Seno..I started out with the Xentec's.They worked fine.Big azz ballasts though...yup.Then went to DDM...slimline ballasts...they worked well light-wise and all. They went with my trade up.Now gonna give these a shot. They came packaged well...well marked which is which. They do look like a quality part.Everything connected up fine(I think)...the only thing about these is the tips for the factory wiring connector...those are gonna have to be installed by hand..you know...the male prongs going into the female connector. That's fine with me.Only two wires on each unit.No biggie.Had to do that with my first set of the Xentecs....even though they had a factory plug cover, snap type...they just didn't want to make a secure connection right there,,so I had to clip the cover off,and install the hot and ground by hand, then silicone the prongs area.Worked fine after that.

Good to hear those A1A units look good.

I'm still up in the air about what I'm going to do to the C14, I guess I need to research it some. In some ways the COG folks are rocket scientists, very tech savvy, but when it comes to HIDs they are mute.

So I guess I'll blaze that trail myself.

Well...they LOOK good...quality wise.We'll see how they work after while.Probably fine.35W....that's down a tad from my last DDM's....55W on highs and lows.That's okay....I probably didn't need 55W.

Well...I wanted to update this post a bit.I reinstalled two DDM ballasts with ignitors into my new bird. For the lows. That brings the lows up to 55W.For some unknown reason, the A1A weren't 'working' correctly(?)They are working in the High beam circuit...but with the lows, the bulbs acted like they were possibly just not getting enough power? They kind of had a surge deal going on within the bulbs themselves. You could look at em and see the arc 'rolling' around in the glass tube.IDK...strange.I don't know if it was the bulb or the ballast.I'm inclined to suspect the ballast...cause I replaced one of the bulbs with a bulb from my other DDM set.The bulb still did the same thing.HOWEVER.....the two high beams are doing just fine.(the A1A's).So it's a tad strange.Anyway...The lows are now DDM 55W 6K's.NOT h9's...DDM h11's.

I don't want to fault A1A....the highs are doing okay so far.(H11's)

I'm happy to say that putting HIDs in my C14 will be as easy as putting them in a car. If I am willing to take 5% less lumens (I am, I never out-ride my lights) I can just go with a bulb assembly only solution which is trivial to install.

Very happy about that, I am going to have to take body work off anyway eventually to put a Dispatch 1 electronic fuze block on it, but I want to delay that as long as possible.
