Pirelli Diablo Supersport deal
01/08/16 10:09 PM

$150/160 per set with 180/55 or 190/50 respectively. Front tire is 120/70-17 in both sets.

Somewhere around Rosso/Angel GT territory. Not the most expensive tires anyway, but this is still ~$40 less than street price for the set. Could be older tires, probably nothing like some of the old tires you find on Ebay though. My guess is they'd be up to 2-3 years old which is fine. I have no knowledge of this. If you order a pair and are concerned be sure to check the DOT date molded into the tire.

Well, like I said. They aren't super expensive and it's an older model and you can find the 120 F/190 R combo for ~$200 anyway. $40 is $40, and $160 is definitely a good price on a set of tires. I doubt BikeBandit would sell garbage. That I understand Diablo Supersport is a good tire though. That I know of, the that tire model is no longer in production.

I'm tempted, but my concern is wear. I think they'd be a 2000-2500 mile range tire. For the price not a big deal (even the street price of $200 isn't bad) but I'd rather change tires less than more. It's kind of weird, I enjoy it but I don't want to change tires monthly if you get me. If I wanted to do that, I'd just run Q3s.

Maybe I'll order a set. Probably get my shims measured today. Maybe I'll throw a set on there when I order shims.

Wow, a hundred sixty bucks for a set of good tires is a great deal. That is pretty tempting. They'd last me a year easy. About as opposite in appearance as you can get from a set of slicks and that's what's holding me back.

You guys who have bought these please report on longevity and performance. I gave more than $100 more for a set of Angel GTs and had to do some serious shopping to find them at that price.
