Well after riding the new 2015 S1000RR I was sold. I told Gman to order me one and I haven't looked back. I love my 14R and my CBR1000RR, but the BMW is in a league of its own. Its the best of both worlds in my eyes. Its fast, comfy and has some tricked out electronics that I'm still trying to figure out.
I ordered a higher windscreen and a carbon fiber front fender along with a seat cowl. Goddam those parts are expensive. BMW has a $1000.00 free accessories and those 3 items used that money up. The mapping on the bike is spot on and I will not be adding a PC5 or exhaust. The exhaust has a nice sound for a stock can and I like the look.
I have a track day in June and I'm excited about riding it at Thomson Ct.
BB built a full race version of the same model I have and the owner and BB were blown away at the track by it. They are bringing it to the Yamaha Champions Riding School in June. The bike was bought with full upgrades for about $19000 grand and BB and JC spent another $17500 in mods. Its really a full blown race bike. Ill post some pictures of it this weekend. I'm hoping to actually paint the plastics for the race seat and tank if the BB lets me...
Overall the BMW is a user friendly motorcycle, very easy to ride. If you get the chance to ride one please do.
Green congrats on the H2 we only had 1 in the shop and that was bought right away by DW. I cant afford it so it was not an option. I've been on the fence now for 3 years about the BMW and on the 14th of this month I pulled the trigger. I sold both the 14R and the 1000RR and don't miss either one of them.
I'm happy a rider..
