I too hate being cold on the bike. Here in the Bay Area it can be warm in the East Bay and freezing out on the coast. I use a heated vest. I have a Widder, but they are out of business now. My friend uses a vest from Cycle Gear. I will not leave home without it. I found that with the vest I can just wear a t-shirt under my jacket even on very cold days. My core stays warm so my fingers also stay warm. Love, love , love it.
Try one out. You'll wonder how you rode without one.
