Carbon Fiber

Heres some pictures of my CF ram air covers. Some people have suggested they are the cheap double tape ones. That they
get taped to the original ones,Their not.Got them on E-Bay for $112.00.

Show the nay-sayers the backs of them, that will shut them up.

The new one on the right is the backside.Notice there is no double tape.It replaces the OEM.I put it in my hand and squeezed it and it's very strong.I could of cracked the OEM which is cracked from normal wear.

Exactly, you can see the fiber weave matching on both sides, so it is real carbon fiber.

They just don't glossy finish (with clear epoxy resin) the backs.

I found some real CF lowers. They are both sides for $200.Mine are all scraped up and I painted them flat black. Not a big fan of flat anything.

I glad you got the good ones. I checked out some for exactly that price. Went to the seller's website to look at some other c-f items and the product description said the ram air covers were meant to be laid over the stock covers with double-stick tape. Not a naysayer, I just suggested buyer beware.

Thats why I purchased all mine for my 2008 ZX14 from MDI in California. Well, they are actually in Japan, but the office for sales is in California, possibly to skirt import duties.

Cost me more, possibly, but the MDI stuff is all wet laid and vacuum pressed in Japan, and so its super-thin and super-strong and of course, super-light.

+1 on Bestem. I think I got my very first cf from them... belly cowling.

Then I found MDI.... and it was off to the races, so to speak.
