The Columbia Backcountry Ride balaclava is about $30. I like it a lot because it is long enough that it stays in my coat while in the sport riding position. A balaclava that rides up won't keep the wind out but no probs with this one. So far it stays on my nose if I want to wear it that way. Does not interfere with my vision.
Has a slot below the logo on the side for earbud wire access. Extra seems are very nice for fit.
Also has vent holes on the the top of the head and over the mouth to allow ventilation. Some kind of reflective material in the sides of the head are supposed to reflect heat back at your skin.
Comes in blue black or white. i got a blue and a black. The blue looks very cool with my blue/black and white jacket. The bright color is a nice accent on the neck and inside a clear faceshield. One size fits all.
I'm happy. I checked around the net and this one seemed to suit my needs the best. There was also one by OMP (#KK03007) which looked very nice. I ordered it from Hoar Racing but they sent me the wrong one. They claim the 03007 is no longer being made by OMP. Just a heads up if you want that one.
