Piken Brakes

PIKEN!!
I picked up a set of Carbone Lorraine C60 pads for use w these Brembo Golden Calipers and Braketech 320 mm Axis Iron rotors. The picture you posted in the 320 mm BT thread showed a worn pad and had a comment about them not lasting long. Were you happy with how they performed other than that? Have you tried the SBS pads you mentioned?
Were these being used on a zx14 w stock rotors and Nissin calipers or a dedicated track bike of smaller, nimble build?
Man I'm sick with envy that you live in AZ. The year round track days would be SWEET! The heat is real but I love it there.

Yes, besides not lasting long they had a real nice feel and no fade. I brake hard and
trail brake aggressively, they always felt good and controllable. I think you will like them.

Have you tried the SBS pads you mentioned?

Have 1 track day last month on them and another track day tomorrow. They feel good, but
during 2nd half of sessions I noticed quite a bit of fade. Have to see if that happens again tomorrow.
Also quite a bit of brake dust from only 1 track day (+/- 100 miles)

Were these being used on a zx14 w stock rotors and Nissin calipers or a dedicated track bike of smaller, nimble build?

My track bike is a zx10. Same Nissin Calipers and Nissin Master on both the 14 and 10

I think 300mm on 10 and 310mm on 14 is only diff.

It's a dry heat! Grew up in Northern IL. Started street riding there in '79 on a new KZ1000

Really enjoy AZ. I do ride year 'round. In summers we just head to the canyons in the mountains.

How tricked out is your track bike? What year is it? Do you mind detailing what youve done or what is not stock?
Do you have a Chicken Hawk setup? Are you in the fast guy group at your track? What tires and compounds are you using and/or like the best overall? What track(s)do you ride? Have you or do you ever ride the big ZX14 @ the track?
Do you do your own tuning as far as fuel management goes? PCV, AT200?
