ZX14R Windscreen
01/11/17 4:34 AM

Hi all,

I ordered a ZERO GRAVITY windscreen in August last year. The package has disappeared and not even USPS knows where it is. All I get is "en route to destination". In this case, South Africa.
Be it as it may, what is your opinions on the Touring screen from ZG? I fitted a screen made here in SA, but the screen doen not fit 100%, although it seems to work.
I intend to fit Helibar raisers as well
Mine is the green ZX14. Note the extra lift on the top edge

Dunno about yer package, but you screen looks good!Looks like it fits okay? There's no gap at the fairing/screen interface is there?I had some Zero Grav screens a ways back..they always had a bit of a small rise around the fairing area, instead of the flat flush fitment of the stock screen.

My Puig DB also kind has a slight bulge where it comes out of the fairing and so does the stock style Zer Gravity screen on my busa. It must be something they just do.

Cool picture. I like that screen. Any more height than that would look to sport tourey (for me) but that's got a cool look to it.

I've got a zg touring screen I use sometimes, it makes the bike look very touring and I hate the look. Like the wind screen but to me it ruins the look.

Definately easy to tuck under and keeps the rain off ya if you get caught in it. But I agree with crude...ruins the look...too toury.

Tried local made (good and not so good) and I can't find better than the MRA screen (German made), even on my wife's GSX1000.
Boffin not sure where you are in JHB but send me a PM if you want to come check it out on my bike. There is a MRA agent in Cape Town so no overseas postage.

HI all,

Thank you for the feedback, I really appreciate it. I will be testing opspeed this weekend to ensure I am happy with the performance of the screen. I had a MRA screen on my previous bike, and being a bigger than normal rider, the wind got to me a bit.

This weekend will tell me what I want to know, as I took it to 280 without too much trouble 2 weeks ago, and if I can hit the limiter at the big 3, I will be happy.

Untamed, where do you stay in S.A? I stay in Kemptonpark.

I'm in Weltevredenpark just off Hendrik Potgieter drive.
However I ride all over. Where are you going to ride on Sunday? Maybe we can meet up?
