Hay mass.
I hadn't checked this ad for a while. Kinda giving up on it.
After asking a lot of questions and getting input I'm pretty well convinced that the Auto Tune can never give you better than a mediocre performance. The suggested inputs are aimed at preset values which have to be somewhat of a compromise for the unit to be "universal." I think a good map, something with a little passion in it, has radical departures from the conservative map Auto Tune is shooting for. I started a thread and have yet to hear anything from the Auto Tune users other than..."its OK."
I'm using a map by jeffo right now and it's much more dynamic than the map I had from Muzzy. Just looking at the two maps side by side you can see that jeff marches to a different drummer! It's a different approach with a different result.
I putting a 43 tooth sprocket on with my new wheels, I'm going to have jeffo remap for me after I get a feeling for it.
The only problem I still have is the little thrust you get when rolling the gas back on, usually when leaned over and entering a corner. I can control it pretty well so as to not loose traction but It does cause a little hesitation as I feel for that spot where it turns the gas back on so I can accelerate. Jeffo has helped negate this in the map but I'm sure it can't be eliminated by mapping.
I'm looking at Ivans006a unit which is supposed to be specific for this problem. I'd like to try the Ivan map too but he wants you to but $200 of stuff before you can get a map. There isn't $200 worth of stuff I want from his site.
I've got this on e-bay too. Idunno I might just end up with it. I did put a bung on my exhaust before I had it ceramic coated. Some day I might decide I want Auto Tune.
