hey guys i just got a zx14. I want a set og fairing and am not trying to pay alot.

has any one sceen these on a zx-14 if so let me know how they look?

I WAS THINKING ABOUT GETTING THIS SET AND HAVING MY BACK WHEEL POWER COATED WHITE AND THE FRONT RED TO SPICE IT UP A BIT . WHAT YOU THINK

ALSO IS ANYONE IS SELLING THE MID AND LOWER FAIRINGS LET ME KNOW.

I wouldn't My buddy bought the exact set and they were extremely cheap. I am a firm believer in on fairings from ebay. I have a set that I bought from a guy advertised as new and they were totally road rashed. long story short ebay saw it his way and I got screwed. so I bought a set of custom painted fairings from a company called grindazllcinc which advertizes through ebay. they charged me a ton of money for a brand new set of fairings that would be custom painted to my specs. I was quoted a time of 30 days. 7 months later I finally got my fairings and they look like strait shit. from a distance they look good but I paided for show quality and I could have done better in my garage.(in A bike show I'd get laughed at) and they told me to stick it when it was all said and done. I an now dealing with the better business bureau. and the worst part is the company is using a picture of my farings to sell there garbage product on ebay. which I in no way support. so if you or any one else looks up Grindazllcinc as a seller and looks at the zx-14 farings and see a blue and black set of fairings that looks like the black is pealing back to show the blue just know it looks great from a distance but for the money you will pay and the time you will have to wait, and the terrible customer service you will endure you will really hate it. so My very strong Opinion is NO EBAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm not so sure that all of ebay is crooked, but the cheaper fairings are usually made of fiberglass, which usually is accompanied by a poor fit and improperly placed and sometimes missing tabs. Just fork over the dough and get a set of oem plastics its worth the money.

Yo-I saw those blue/black fairings-on the Grindaz site.They did sound reasonable-sorry you got ripped:(. Think I saw your bike on another site as well-looked REALLY GOOD from the pic anyway. About the OEM plastics sets. I bought back in 07 a complete set-candy plasma blue.$2,000 and $200.00 for shipping from a gent named cementdrums. His E-bay store is velocityking.Perfect set-Everything there and UNBLEMISHED.All fasteners-NEW.Included HEADLAMPS(already installed),rear turn indicators(already installed)and also the METER BRACKET and mirrors-all installed and ready to bolt on.Included rear brake lamp,and cowl.Came with inner ram duct covers as well.Really good deal IMO.Brand new zero mile bikes these sets come off of.Great packaging-very professional.Give him a look-up-I know his store is still on there,but I'm not sure if he has any body kits nowadays.Tell him MONTY sent ya.(he might remember me?)If he doesn't have any,he'll probably get ya one.Very honest guy to work with.No BS.I should add-came with fuel tank and cover as well-no fuel pump,no fuel door(have to use your originals).

Yep the ones they are picturing are the ones they painted for me. but they were not new fairings like they said they would be. the insides of the fairings were poorly done with a tone of over spray and the paint is runned. there dirt under the paint where they obviously don't paint in a clean room. the tank was rusty on the bottom. just a ton of small stuff. i mean it looks good but for the money I paid and the time I had to wait it should have been perfect. if it had been $500 less I think it would have been a good deal. and Grindaz had horrible customer service. they wouldn't return my calls after i got my faring and they found out I was unhappy. and true to there name there is 2 grind marks on my ram air opening that they tried to say must have happened during shipping, however the grind marks are under the clear coat so there theory doesn't hold water. I am not saying all places are bad. Im just saying be careful. I am however saying Grindaz is bad and don't use them. cause they are not new fairings they will be selling you even though they will lie and say they are. and they wont have heat shielding on they even though they will lie and say they will. But it's your money and buyer beware. but I promise you will not be happy with grindaz and the 7 months it will take them to send you your fairings which will not be at all how they told you they would be. they are hustlers. cause they were super friendly and had amazing customer support until they got paid they it became who are you. at on point when my farings were 5 months past there ship date and not even close to done I call to see what was up and the lady said "what you think I don't have problems in my life too?" then tried to tell me about her rough day. I could go on for hours. I got 7 months worth of bad stories. basically they just suck.

OOPS-sorry ZX-it was on THIS site that I saw yer bike!But it does look great-I thought about having mine done like that a few months ago.Not a priority for any time soon though;). And I won't be getting one from Grindaz anyway-not after your(sorry)horror story.Hope yer bike's not TOO bad lookin' close up-Ride safe there!

any body got a extra decent radiator for sale?

jlcumb2-Radiator?I don't have one,but I'm guessing you got a hole in er?Might want to get a RADGUARD from Cox.(google Cox radiator guards).Easy install-peace of mind:)

Find a freind that works at a bodyshop and have him paint them for ya!I've got an xtra set I've been slowly colecting for mine.

Kawasaki sells the flames body kit
and the lime green body kit
both kits include the tank.
They are blowing them up for $999.00 at Bike Week

zxtwitch is that the set thats always on ebay for like $1800. i see they have 100% positive feedback but i also dont see where anyones bought that paint job either.

i decided to try to give the painting thing a turn myself, that way i know what im getting.
im just waiting on some paint chip so i can decide on colors.

i just got a set i ordered off ebay for a friend of mine. they look like they did a good job. we'll see how they fit tho.

I'm digging up this thread from the dead just to remind everyone to be very careful about buying used OEM fairings off Ebay. I just bought a brand new looking RH tail fairing without emblem apparently removed from a 2008 ZX-14 for $25. What a bargain!!! Something looks a little weird about that fairing from the top but it looks perfect from the side. Hard to tell--it's a black fairing but why are the reflections making it look like there is a little extra plane in the surface by the tail light? Oh well---how much will it cost me to buy some aftermarket emblems to go on there??

I hit BUY IT NOW but I couldn't explain that top view. After getting my tab busted tail fairing in front of me and doing some research online, I find it was a Gen2 tail fairing I bought. Hope my cancel goes through.

I've had very good luck but I have been pretty diligent about looking at all photos and zooming in to check tabs and inspect the finish. Usually, you will get something that can be polished back to like new condition as long as the scratches do not look like the bike was down. Buy from sellers who are parts dealers. They don't want complaints so they do a good job of describing and showing real damage if there is any.

...but they can make a mistake.

My riding partner has bought fairings for his ZZR 1200 off eBay and they seem to be fine came from China. I have had lots of dealings with eBay and they will stand behind the customer. Some people will try to get you E Bay we'll back you up and pay you if they won't.

Ya...ebay works well.Chinese fairing sets are goin for 490 bucks....MANY color schemes to go with...Their(chinese)stuff is much better than it once was.I'd go that way for a whole complete set...take a look at some of their paint schemes.Amazing.

The seller cancelled the Ebay order for me. Fortunately I noticed the problem before he delivered. I just bought an OEM one from Partzilla.

I'd be careful about aftermarket fairings if you plan on going fast. I've heard more than one tale where they blew off including a guy I know personally. Kruz saw it happen once too although we don't know for sure they were aftermarket or if it was some other problem.
