Snuffy, I don't use the Mix-It2 but have heard good reviews. I went the cheap route $15 and use a Belkin Rockstar. It works great with my MP3 and radar detector. You can find a lot of info (3 pages LOL) from STN HERE on the Belkins and other products.

Another one to add to your list is the Ampli Rider $58. It is made by an independent who stands behind his products. It has a nice separate volume controller. Check out: Electric Avenues.

I use a Chatterbox XBI2-H integrated into my helmet, with mike and headphones also integrated into the helmet.

It will coordinate my GPS, my MP3 player, my phone. So it will play great stereo MP3 music, and if the GPS wants to talk, it pauses the MP3, I listed to GPS, and it un-pauses MP3 music. If the phone rings, it pauses, answers, and hangs up when I'm done, and the MP3 comes back.

Plus I can chat with passenger and other riders if they are on bluetooth or CB.

$239 plus the helmet, and a bargain given the functionality and all bluetooth operation.
