I did the Alice's loop today. Snagged a photo - there were equally or a bit more bikes across the street in Alice's parking lot.

I grabbed a sandwich from the deli across the street. The deli is actually pretty good. I was in a hurry so did not wait for a seat at Alice's itself. The deli typically gets about 1/2 of the bikers.
For whatever reason, I kept running into slow groups of riders and had to carefully weed myself past them. I think there were some newbies out, which is fine with me - but I seemed to keep running in to them. I hate just putting along - I did top out at 105 along Skyline, but just a bit before it drops into the darker section near Alice's. Still some wet places in the shade to beware of.

The route is roughly 95 miles.
As of now, no mods planned, other than in the short term to reflash the ECU before summer. I used to work for Yoshimura, and I have a connection there that I can get an exhaust system at cost (pay for shipping). But the stock bike is pretty good by itself. I am very comfortable leaning the bike over to "just before" I make contact with the pegs. The roads around here are sketchy, so you can get tree root uplifting or minor rain slipouts, so best to keep the rubber side down. There is one nasty curve about 1 mile (northbound) prior to Alice's where I actually slid in my car a month or so ago in wet conditions, so I baby that turn on the bike (some weird oil cover they put to patch a bad spot, but it makes the surface slick).
