I think watching these suspensions work is an awesome part of this race....

I first bought a video camera to view the AFR meter while I flipped a hack to see what it would do next? I then took to seeing how I rode? I didn't want to sit thru that time so I cut the video time down and heard the throttle action. The hearing part matched the moving part: watching my lines come sooner.

That showed me how I treat traffic and it forces me to move away from them. This now affects my entry, upsets my setup, all this going on while trying to be "smooth." If someone told me a long time ago to work not for speed but for smooth, I think I could have been ahead of the game with that clue. Now, I strive for smoothness every time out. The speed I really don't care about.

I'm sure am not about to hang it out any faster on this road, because every bend, I've seen so many come thru here, I rather the runner runs safe; the pole diggers not see another set of skid marks coming their way; nor do I need to hot tail it up to the car. I slowed for the blind corners until I had a clear view. The rest is run a tight line or run a late line, some caused by the traffic. That's my basic MO. Have at least those two entry moves in your back pocket.

Smoothrottle is key. Every clutch pull is used for up and down shifting. You mis-shifts a lot, it's too loose a drive chain. The other part about smooth is to watch how some riders come out of a turn and short the lane. That stores energy. The better move is to blend the lane all the way out to the line(s). At the end of the 'normal speed' video, right at the end, I use all the lane to smooth out the energy or that momentum coming out of the corner. I then come back to center and the video ends. Center places me ready to setup for the next turn no matter the direction, meaning...

... Energy Release is key. I've seen videos of riders coming out of corners and oops, you are not seeing what I'm seeing/hearing. Not letting out the steam on the full lane might cause a problem. The tug of the bars are what you are about to fight. If you made the entry and exit as a wave pattern, see [the exit out] energy release where you won't be fighting or inducing a wobble? It's like holding back a wave coming to shore. Make it happenaturally and smoothly like a wave. You have plenty of time to head over to the other side for the next entry, or your next wave made getting there. That kind of smoothing example happens at the beginning of the 'normal' speed video.

So when I pulled over to stop the camera, who do you think heads down the canyon I just came up from? A black and white with a K9 painted on the door.

Signed,

NOLTT

Thanks, Grn. Here is one of the smoothest riders [IMO] ever took control of the bars. Even his jumps were smoother. Joey is that smooth, others are using more [record] track time behind him to catch up. But watch Joey set the premium lines.

Yeppa, that's the way to do it and all what you said, Grn. It's a pipe dream for me to be at that level.

This one's for you MAN64. Screw that tire crap. Just ride as smooth as you can first. IF only someone told me that years ago. 1:40 is one nasty sounding [stock] exhaust note.

Part 1 of 3 vids for your entertainment. Chase the others for your time wasted is not a word spoken. All I'm trying to do is be as smooth as possible. My lines are not your ideal classic lines. On average, my guess is the pack of riders had to be around 60yrs old. Maybe some woman in her mid to late 50's, I'm not sure about her ponytail's color? Only her hairdresser knows for sure.

Can the 14 pee forum all stock, no hesitation, no pop but the bike up ahead with a pipe does? Use headphones, then decide if you really need to go popping or placing the balls in said position and just ride the Stew Pithing.

I've got another boring technical one here. The father you look back the more it makes sense where the setup is positioned. @ :22 second mark, I kiss the white line and the farther you look back the more the straight arrow the shot is leaving that licked line. Plus, I could hear that engine wind up going thru that corner all day long.

Cam is facing to the rear so I could hear the T&T. This was a quick Test where I attempted a flashing Tune. Figured I'd begin where the stock bin was spitting and go from there. This was back when the heatwave was on and I waited to run at a cooler time. So heavy traffic, the heat coming the other way, I waited till I could see less traffic, got caught in traffic and here comes the truck figuring out the line.

Don't ask me why. I had to find out for myself so I slowed it down to see how close I came? So I'm thinking it's all about 'Timing.' I'm shoeing on the 'Silver Slip Her.' Brute timing I like to see firetweet come out of that corner, where is your sun? I had to cup an eyelid coming back up, but that bike was doing all the driving.

I watched how that rear disc hadass this Vinnythedickshine to it on the downhill. Kind of Silver looking ass a matter of fact. That bike zips like no other I've ridden. It's the same old line: I look out as far as I can and looking back just as far is where I came from.

Back to the LL on the turnaround and just before the turnaround. I can see that golf swing head shake with the bars. It's like come on not yet, not yet and then the swing into to line is that kiss on the white line, the finish off is kissing the reflector pockets, warming up the shock oil a little.
