Zx14 Service intervals?
04/14/18 12:48 AM

I've just hit 58000 Kilometers on my 14, I was wondering if my next major service is at 58000ks or 60000ks?

I don't have an owners manual handy to check all the items but there are different intervals for different things. Some are long past due on that bike if no service has been done but that's usually no big deal unless the bike has been run hard real often.

58,000 km would be a good time to hit everything if it hasn't been done yet. 60,000 would not be enough to make any difference--chances are everything is safe but a few things need replacing. Sprockets, chsain, valve clearance check, throtle bodies vacuum adjust (if you want), spark plugs, possibly battery, coolant and brake/clutch fluid. Rubber parts in brakes and clutch hydraulics should be changed.

If you're just asking about oil, I'd do that every 2500 miles. You can go longer on a good synthetic. I use Rtella synthetic and change every 2500 miles like conventional oil should be.

What is a kilometer? Is that equivalent to 2.2046 lbs?

Ninjee service intervals are in miles.
