For Sale GenMar ZX14 Risers..sale pending
02/05/10 9:18 AM

For sale GM-K115 GenMar Handlebar risers Kawasaki ZX-14 all years.

I bought these for my just purchased 2008 ZX-14. Being winter I never looked hard at the bars , I just figured it was stock.

The bike already has the exact risers on it.

So... these are unopened and complete as shown on GenMar's site
GenMar Site

"The risers are placed between the fork crown and the handlebars to raise the bars up 1 (25mm) and back 5/8"(16mm). This will help to relieve wrist and neck pain on long rides. Requires no change of any control cables, wiring, or hoses"

$70.00 shipped anywhere in the 48 states. (very fair price)

Thanks,
Rich

So Cutback-yer goin with the Genmars instead of the LSL's?If ya need MORE lift-you can add some Heli's under your Genmars as well-it's a good combo.

Hey Blue,
Well, I've been fortunate to have gleened alot of info. from guys like you, that had this bike abit longer than I have. Through your experiments, with others, and sharing it, I have been able to sift through my modding pretty mistake free. I've had Heli's from day one, and always loved them but, at the same time always thought, "just a tick more" might be perfect. (1/4" higher) We'll see..... Through your other threads, I had noticed you had doubled them both up. Great job of sharing info. for others to follow. I'll know soon.

Ya Cutback-you can go with BOTH-no need to change any cables or control lines. You WILL need 4 three inch bolts however to have the correct length for the combined set.I have those back now on my baby-very nice-pretty much just right for me.Allows me to maintain the "sportbike" clipon feel, but not the excessive reach as I had stock. The handling is a bit different with the LSL's,not the bike itself, but the way it feels through the bars and how you feed input to em.You'll be happy with your Genmars-and you can always add the helis if you like. The LSL's required a fair amount of cable manipulating and adjustment to get em just right.Once on there, they worked well. They did affect the "riding feeling" somewhat-cause yer pretty much midpoint on the bike, instead of having your weight and torso over the tank-it does make a difference. If all you want to do is tour-LSL's definitely work well.Although I made plenty of canyon high speed runs with em on there-and they were okay, just not quite the same as having those clipons and the clipon angle.Makes a difference. Those bolts are NOT 5/16ths-they're the metric counterpart-and I can't remember just now the size they were-the thread has to be 125 pitch petty sure-it's almost a 5/16th.But it has to be the metric "equivalent".About a 2" threaded area, the rest of the shank can be non threaded.(that's if your using BOTH helis and genmars(helis go on the bottom).

I didn't plan on runnin' both but, I might just give it a go, just for the hell of it. Couldn't be much easier of a mod. I assumed I'd probably like the GenMars a little better and just sell my Heli's. I've got Braided stainless brake/clutch lines all around and they come 1" longer than OEM so, I've got plenty of line to run any set-up. I ran Heli's on my track bike. You could tell the difference on the track, versus OEM but, my lap times weren't really affected as I was just a track day weenie anyways. Thanks for all the info Blue and Rich, thanks for the deal on the GenMars!

Blue, Did you remove the LSL's? I am thinking about getting that setup, had them on my ZZR1200 also.
