YES!The pc will help you take advantage of what your new exhaust has to offer. On my 07 I installed a pc before installing a pipe.My 07 was lean from the factory at 3500[emissions].I found the pc improved a stock bike.made it much smoother no stumble at 3500

^^I also installed a PCV to a stock G2, Mike. It made a noticeable improvement. Seemed to run cooler and smoothed out the flies open rpm around 3500 rpm. It is the safe way to go for modding. I wouldn't think about running a full system without a PC and a good map. Once you find the pipe you want, then find out where you can get a good map for it. The PC should be purchased from a reputable tuner that will provide you with a map. The pipe will also come with a map if the supplier is also a tuner. I had good luck with HPC for all my stuff and there was no loss in power with my Tsukigi full system. I have heard the Muzzy M10 full system has a bottom end loss but that could have been a mapping issue. One thing, you will probably get some popping on decel with most full systems. A PC will improve that, optimize performance and make the engine run safely. You can also block your PAIR to reduce popping.

Generally speaking, slipons don't change bottom or top end a lot and they do improve sound and looks. I would feel more comfortable running those without a PC if I wanted to go a little cheap. The slips will probably cost nearly as much as some full systems though and some of them also pop. Full system is the best BANG for your buck!

BigM wrote: "I am just going for a better look and sound but i dont want to lose any horse power that I already have."... You don't lose HP, you change the way you receive it. You changed not a thing, from the intake track to cam timing, porting, open ram chamber, things radical like that. See, the bike's exhaust does not have any input telemetry to send out, so as to upset the 'preset' if you look at it simply like that.

The exhaust is holding back a bubble of air that is slowly leaving. You uncork that speed out the tail end, that HP curve will move up or down the scale from your base stock setting. Show me the gain or loss in power? You will feel what is clogged up at both ends, are the different pleat settings of air cleaner speeds going in and all the other exhaust speed changes that one intake gulp of air [bubble].

Factory builds an engine from scratch, now close the thing up, it runs linear, where is the lag? I could keep dribbling the hubbish, but the point is, I rather show it on video, as if my bike needs a PC for the street, I change the note of the tailpipe. Go for it, BigM!

Big mike if you got alot of money to spend go for it! Take my word for it once you start changing shit it starts costing thousands and thousands of dollars! Its like crack man you cant stop! Every 10 hp cost's alot of money. Rook probably has 50,000.00 in his by now.

Naaaaaaa. A PC isn't anything. Everyone's got that. It seems like ~$100/hp is what constitutes a cost effective mod. I'm sure a good map in your PC is going get you 3 hp, at least = $300/PC. Most importantly, you can ride without fear of burning up a motor.

And there just cool little gadgets! 0 problems with mine so far.
