Aprilia Slip on

From what I've been told Arrow is the actual producer of the exhaust. I believe it completely its very high quality stuff.I snagged it off Ebay for 320 shipped its titanium with a carbon fiber end.You will love either bike the Aprilia Factory is just mind blowing to ride in the mountains and it feels like your going 150mph just sitting on the thing and its absolutely sexy. The KTM 1290 GT is a far better street bike with a few mods it will run right next to the Aprilia in a straight-line. The KTM suspension is magic and that motor is just insane. You literally have to ride it like an inline 4. If I could only have one bike it would be a KTM 1290 GT it just checks all the boxes.

2slo4u - Thanks! That's great! I feel like the Tuono is the sexy bike you want, but lacks the real-world utility you find you need as soon as you actually hit the road and go for a ride of any length or type other than canyon carving ... which is then where the SDGT fills the bill. Of course having BOTH would be the real answer! But, I don't have enough time to ride even one as much as I want!

I agree 100%. I bought the KTM specifically for a another run across the US 7300 miles in 14 days is the goal. I did it on a Connie 3 years ago the KTM should be a lot more fun.

I thought about a Tuono V-4 before I bought the SDGT, bu couldn't see any way to make it comfortable for longer rides. Riding my friend's Tuono V2 Factory is what convinced me V-twins could have adequate power and acceleration after nearly 80,000 miles on a ZX-14. Plus, my drivers' licence wouldn't have survived a V4 or an SDR for very long.

Danno - You still have the SDGT? Which year? Do you like it as much / same / more than the ZX? I find myself still looking at it and intrigued, but concerned the V twin will be a little "boring" like my old RC51 which lacked the high RPM surge/thrust. I'm also still concerned about KTM's suspicious reliability / build quality. I read some weird issues on the SD forum.
