Yes. I'm only new to a ZX14 myself and bought one after only a short test ride. Within 10kms on the ride home, I knew I had made the right decision.

The Blackbird is old technology. The 14r is the obvious choice. Neither bikes are real low miles. The BB has obviously been sitting around a lot not being ridden. You got the right one.

Don't tell me the prices were anywhere near one another! I would think the BB would be hard to sell for $2k.

Kind of a strange question to ask on a Kawasaki ZX-14 forum.
Did you expect all to say "You should have gone with the Honda"?

Thanks all for the responses! yannih, you're right, probably should've asked a general motorcycle forum to get a more objective opinion.

G'day Dance,
No disrespect intended.
It's just that we love our 14's around here.
Congrats on the new bike.
For the record, you definitely made the right call...

Hmmmm like to add my two cents here my 2003 new CBR110xx with the 16"front wheel a damp adjuster were improved on by the 17"front wheeel no Damp adjuster on the 2004 was way better and besides Having more power with my 2010 ZX1400 I would say the 2004 CBR1100xx was a better bike ! that,s IMO !!!! but when I got my 2012 ZX14R then it was definately far better than the CBR1100xx

2006 CBR1100xx with a few mods + V Star 1300A Cobra swept exhaust,Fi2000 EFI,Big air kit, Rad cover/Guard,Forward controls/pegs,Pillion mini boards,screen,rack,Saddleman seat a few chrome bits.

Some of aren't completely subjective. I can't compare my 14R experience to a CBR1100 but I can compare it to other bikes. By far, the 14R is the most fun bike I've ever rode, bar NONE. I've only owned 1 other bike, but I've ridden many more although nothing else modern really.

Montana!

I had no idea you had a 12R!

You need to spend some time with me at Kawasakiworld.com. Those guys have a hard-on for the 12.

Hmmm....maybe.

That rippin 12R was a sweet ride....THE second best bike I ever owned;)

Course...going to a 14...not so sure they'd like that too muchLOL!!!I could have kept the 12...and been very happy with it to be honest. But glad I did what I did.Never got on a zx12 forum...so I most likely 'missed' the modding and upgrades to a fine bike...but mine certainly kicked my arse...that's for sure;)Loved that thing.Had a PC with a slip on there...baby definitely rocked!

Gawd that seems like a LONG time agoLOL!!!
