So I'm into music in a big way, and was just wondering what the eclectic collection of members we have here are into. SO...what's your fav genre? Fav bands or artists? Albums?

And what songs would be on the soundtrack whilst you carve through the twisties?

Lately i've been on a big Lamb of God kick, it really gets me pumped up..but, in the twisties I like to listen to the exhaust note.

Pixies and Social Distortion from the 90s have always been big favs. Weezer's a great band, too. Newer band I like is yeah,yeah,yeahs.

I don't listen to music when i ride but I would love to do a Rook/ZX-10 film set to letter to Memphis by the Pixies. Come to think of it, the new yeah.yeah,yeahs song would work great.

Dude! Awesome...I'm a metalhead and Lamb Of God are one of the most exciting bands metal has had for a while. Sacrement is becoming an all time fav for me and Wrath is growing on me. I'm really into Mastodon at the moment too - you heard their stuff? The new "Black Sabbath" (now called "Heaven & Hell") album is heavy as too.

letter to Memphis by the Pixies

The Pixies...nice. Doolittle is one of the few classic albums to come out of the 90's I think.

but, in the twisties I like to listen to the exhaust note.

Amen to that. I'd never want to have on headphone whilst riding. The exhaust music is perfection.

I don't want to mess up your thread too much with anything too non-metalic but I came across this acoustic version of Maps which was released a few years back. There's a definite traditional Asian sort of influence here and I think that is cool because the singer is partly of Asian background.

Check out Ashes of the Wake too, it has become one of my favorites by L.O.G.

It's not just about metal for me, I'm into pretty much any genre, as long as it's quality.

Eg;

Blues - John Lee Hooker, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Leadbelly, Muddy Waters, Rory Gallagher
Country - Johnny Cash
Reggae - Bob Marley, Steel Pulse, Sizzla
Rock - ACDC, Aerosmith, Beach Boys, The Band, Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, hmmm...I could go on and on with rock bands...
Jazz - Miles Davis, Coltrane, Monk
