Bestem carbon fiber (ebay)

Go to eBay, search stores cruiserbackrest

They sell Bestem carbon fiber pieces for bikes. The front fender and belly cowling set are very high quality. Sometimes they have other pieces, I saw a cf hugger once but not lately

i bought a CF hugger and a fiberglass undertail from bestem and they seem to be of good quality BUT;
the powerbronze lowers i bought seem to be of better quality. bestem has many CF parts for the mighty 14 on ebay from a seller in georgia. some are 1st quality. some are 2nds, some are 3rds. from what i have seen, most of the 2nds and 3rds have blemishes around the bolt holes. some would show and some wouldn't but i believe they sell those as is with no returns.

he would have ridden a zx14

Dubious,

Your latest version of hardware for putting ZX10 fender on ZX14 installed without a hitch. Thanks!

Just one observation. Two of the tapped holes for the bolts which hold the fender on tried to strip out on me. The button screw (bolt) got bound up so far I didn't dare turn it in anymore.

So I got them out, and ran a tap through, and it must have cleaned up the threads because I got some metal out.

Now the button screws (bolts) go in perfectly.

Not sure why I had a problem. I am a pretty good machinist other than no clue about CNC. But for instance I've turned stainless steel barrels and milled some complicated stuff.

Anyway, not complaining, running the tap through was all that was necessary. Typical of carbon fiber, I had a use for my rat file to make one hole a little oblong so it would work. Heh. Nothing plastic washers won't cover.
