Front Steering Head Stands
06/05/09 3:53 PM

I need to pickup a new steering head stand for the 14, my old stand won't work as the 14's front fairing is rather long so it ends up rubbing on the stand :(

I saw someone mention they had a "T-Rex" front head stand so I wanted to get some suggestions on stands that have worked for others (I don't want to have to remove the fairing to get the bike up on the stand)

Was that me?

The T-Rex works excellent for me. I do have a zx10 front fender installed. Not sure if this affords me more room.
I thought the stands were an outstanding value. The front stand has a removable pin for the steering head, so you can use it on other bikes by just getting the correct pin. It also comes with all the hardware to use it as a front fork stand(lifts the bike from the bottom of the front forks).

Actually, it was you :)

Does your stand interfere with the bottom of your upper cowl (right below the headlights)?

Nightmare, I have the same stands as Cyclejunkie, it doesn't interfere with the upper fairing, but it is a tight fit between the fender and the fairing. But it will fit, but you do not have the room Cycle has w/that ZX10 fender.

It is a tighter fit with aftermarket brake lines than it is w/ the oem lines also.(easier for me to remove the 4 bolts and the fender, than to worry about scratching it) but it will work with the fender on.

I have to remove the 4 bolts (fender)also using a pit bull front steering stem stand.
Extremely tight fit there.
