Several new owners have requested information about setting the multifunction meter. Sometimes, the main problem is that they do not posses the Owners Manual. I have copied pages 24-51 where the functions and setting instructions are printed. Pages 24-39 explain the purpose of the various functions. Pages 40-48 explain how to set the multifunction meter to your preferences. Any time the battery is disconnected, the multifunction meter displays will return to their default settings.

Setting the multifunction meter would probably be a little bit clearer for new owners if pictures with step by step instructions or a video was posted. Maybe I'll do that when I install my battery in a couple months. After setting the multifunction meter a few times, a regular pattern is recognized. It becomes a lot easier even if you only need to do it once a year. For now, here are the pages from the 2008 OM.
