muzzy lowering links , rear lowered to the last hole , front lowered about 1 1/4 inchs . rode to work solo this morning with no issues . I'm 5'7 225lbs I like the feel with both my feet flat on ground . Solo has no bottoming out issues so far . Not sure about two up yet . Also it seems like the chain is tighter so i'm going to have to readjust it .

the kickstand will need to be changed . I was thinking about taking it to a weld shop to heat up and bend ...any thoughts about that ??

I chopped 2in off my kickstand. Fully lowered it still stands a little upright but still leaned over enough it won't be knocked over.

I'm lowered 3/4 inch up front when not strapped down and 1 inch in the rear when I have the adjustable links fully raised. 2 inches off the kick stand has the bike leaned over a little more than a stock bike, not by much though.

Id prob go with at least 1.5 inches that way you know it's good. 2 inches might be more than necessary if you ain't strapping the front end.

Just be careful with the bike lowered. I had mine slammed. -1.5" in the front, -3" in the rear. Looks awesome, Road like crap. Scraped the pegs on easy turns, the under tail. I caught the backside of an inverted speed bump and scuffed the pan hard enough to crack it, felt like i bottomed the suspension out. Lucky I didn't wipe out. I was riding trying to figure out why this line was following me. Needless to say I moved the bike back up. -1/2" in the front and -1" in the rear.
After i got tired of grinding the lower fairings and pegs i moved the bike up further. Currently sitting at +.80 through the top clamp in the front, and +1 in the rear.

FATSIX::::hunh? The are flush with the stock clip on at stock height...
2nd gen can get a lot more fork through the tree than 1st gen
SLOWMOZX14::::: LET ME clarifier what I am saying, I was expecting the fork to protrude through the top fork clamps (about 1 inch) much more when anyone lower they bike...i'm still learning this set-up...thanks

I am a big fan of do what you want because it's your bike, but I also believe in making informed decisions.
I love the looks of lowered 14's but doing so CAN, not will, CAN cause a couple of problems.
Lowering the front COULD cause problems with overheating, I had this problems with my first two 14's. This is a big motor and needs lots of air to keep cool, especially around town and in heavy traffic.
Lowering your bike COULD also cause some handling issues because you are also decreasing the rake. I never measured to see how much of an actual difference there is but I could feel a difference in how the bike tracked.

I cheated and lowered mine with a Sargent low height seat... love the new riding position and comfort!
