why are you selling it????

Well, from what I can tell, I had a few to many wobbly pops and went on e-bay looking for a new visor(which I got)and some how I clicked on bid for a new helmet. Much to my amazement a week later a got a e-mail saying I won the bid. I am now the proud owner of a new x11. I was not looking for a new helmet as the one I have is not that old . As near as I can tell I went on the forum section looking at the helmet thread and then to e-bay for a visor and the rest is a blurr.

the moral of the story kids is...

don't get on ebay if you've been dabbling in the wobbly pops

nice graphics and a lb lighter than the x11! sounds like a winner to me

The RF-1000 is lighter than the X-11.
The slightly less venting makes for a sturdier
shell and thus meeting the DOT standarts with less beef.
The TZR is even lighter... there is a comparisson chart somewhere
online...will dig it out.

The X-11 more than makes up in aerodynamics though-
less drag at speed, making it actually "feeling" lighter
at higher speeds, especially when you have your head turned
or when getting out of the tight tuck to check behind you on
the track or when leaned in a fast sweeper when the helmet is
not directly behind the windshield.

Nice lid, someone should buy it!

Large is gonna be too big on me but if you're only asking $225 that is a steal for some guy with a big head. That's like 60% off for a brand new, top of the line helmet!

Great helmet, fair price. (I'm on my 2nd )
Northern bikes are now coming out of hybernation.
I expect this item to sell before long.

Not a great cold weather helmet because Shoei can't figure out anti-fogging visors.
(unless you spring for a Pin-lock visor)
Keeping the visor cracked open in friggid and foggy weather kinda blows.
But, this is one of the VERY best warm weather helmets. Air flow over your head is astonishing.
When it gets really hot out, I'm cooler and more comfy with my helmet on than off.
This is the first helmet I can say that about. (had 3 before it)
Light with no wind lifting or buffeting. Shoei quality. Very quiet.
Plenty of room inside for intercom speakers and mic.

Cheek pads are setup for people under 175 lbs.
I modified the removable pads (internal padding is layered),
but they also sell thinner ones, if you are bucks up.

When Shoei said they improved the visor seal for the RF-1100, I was a little shocked.(why?)
The RF-1000 lid seals like a bike vault.....
