Redding Ca. March 19th
03/19/16 10:35 PM

After installing my new clutch properly, I went to the Redding strip. They seldom have a lot of bikes but I was anxious to get rolling again.. Clutch functioned as it should and I was able to chip away a tiny bit more towards ultimate goal.. Best run was 9.61 at 149.59 . Next week ( Sat) is at my favorite California track, Sonoma...Looking for -.39 and a +.41 mph :)
Oh yeah , I rode teh bike 100 miles to the strip, made my runs and rode it the 100 miles home..

In true 14 spirit. Full gear too, I hope.

Bobby, you are funny...

Rook, I had on my full leathers and then put on a sweatshirt over.. Was perfect . Got to the track at noon, took off sweatshirt. 5 pm, put on sweatshirt and went home :)

LOL same as my track days. I was thinking, " the people near the track are saying, 'oh, he was at the track' and the people who saw me far from the track were saying, 'who's that nut?'

I really want one of those Pit Bull trailer restraints and a trailer.

I sold my Haulmark 8 footer last week.. My two favorite tracks are 110 miles and 200 miles from my home. The only ticket I have rec in hte last 8 yrs was for pulling my trailer going to the races.. I am going back to an Astro van . Easily hauls everything I need including the bike and I can run along with traffic at whatever speed they are doing..At my age, dang tickets are as bad for your record "almost" as they are for 20 yr olds.

I used a ride-on chock in the trailer and then four point tiedowns with a line from each passenger peg pulling slightly to the rear and a line from the "hole" as shown by the arrow in the pic , to a front tiedown.. You dont have to really crank the lines tight and it lets the front end move if it needs to . ( up and down ) .
