Just gaging interest in a ZX14 meetup at Deal's Gap in October of 2013. I did this ride October of 2012 and it was the most fun I have had yet on a ride. Stayed at the Two Wheel Inn, super nice people. Planning on another trip this coming October and wanting to do two rides this time. The Dragon and Cherohala loop and then The Dragon/Foothills Parkway then back around the Smokey Mountain Parkway. It would be awesome to have a ZX14 or a hyperbike meetup with ZX14's and Busa's.

I did that very ride last weekend, and it was great. I also included the entire loop including Hell Bender.
The following day I did hwy 28 over to Highlands, N.C. and rode down to Ceasars Head in S.C.. I doubt I will be doing another overnighter so soon, but I am attempting to get a group together on cars to possibly do a very similar route.
On another note, we normally do single day trips in August and/or September up to the Boone area to do the Snake. Since my daugher will be up there at App. State this fall, I plan on riding up there as much as possible.

Anytime you want to ride the Boone area let me know. Me and another ZX14 rider from Lenoir hit the mountains often. We just road hwy 80 (The Devil's Whip) and hwy 181 yesterday. I am shooting for October 8-11 for The Dragon. The leaves should be colorful and being weekdays it will be less trafic. Planning on staying at the Two Wheel Inn again. Gotta love a place that has a bike garage with every room.

I sent you a pm about a trip planned to Boone on 9/7. Maybe we can get a chance to meet and do some riding then. I was in Boone this past thursday thru saturday with the wife and my daughter for freshman orientation. I took the wife's maxima through the snake. I must admit, it is truly a 4 door sports car.

I am down to try to make this trip. I'm definitely ready to ride that dragon some more!

HaHa - Hard to forget it once you get a taste for that dragon. I'd love to make this one too, but already have two other rides planned for the season, but you never know! hmmmmm....

Yeah I have a volleyball tournament in Destin Florida in October... maybe I can just take the REALLY long way to get there...

It is looking like September 29th thru thru October 3rd for my trip to Deals Gap. I will make reservations the first of next week as soon as I can get the 7 day weather forcast. I took the first three weeks off for vacation in October to make sure I got a week with no rain :)

Sounds like a fun week of riding. I will be in Boone next weekend (9/28) for friends and family day at App. State. I love riding in the mountains in the fall. The change of colors can be so beautiful. If I want to ride hard on the bike, I go in the spring or summer. Whenever we go in the fall, we tend to get behind too many motor homes and such just poking along to take pictures of the changing leaves. That is sort of what we will be doing this weeked, but I will be in the Roush, so I can add a little excitement to it on the curvy roads. Have fun and be safe.
