My insurance is incredibly cheap.

I hate to brag about financial matters but since it's very infrequent that I have the opportunity to do so----got a cancellation due to non-payment notice on the ZX-14's policy (don't recall getting any notices prior to this). Amount due: $49.08 I called to ask why the $49 fee--that's my new premium for 6 months. I use the bike a max of 6 months/year and can suspend over winter. This bike costs money to operate but the insurance almost might as well be free!

shit. I celebrated too soon. Just found out that 50 is to cover a premium increase because I cancelled my auto ins. The busa is now $220 and I guess the 14 will be $210. Not cheap to ride one/time.

yeah, I guess so.

We have the same coverage and state farm charges me about $180/yr. Not bad at all. Do you have points on your record?

Mine was 150 14, 160 busa/6 months or something like that but that was because I had my auto insured for ~$380/6 months. Liability only on all. Crappy Michigan insurance. It was cheaper in Wisconsin...and they don't have no fault ins in WI either. MI is a crappy state to live in. I like the area but WI is just a few miles away. I'm looking into ins for WI. I still have WI plates FCOL. I drive and ride the overwhelming majority in WI by a longshot.

State Farm, Indiana, FC, $450/year. Been with them for a couple years now so that was the lowest rates I could find in '15/16.

I have what California law requires, $15K/30K medical and 15K property damage. Total of $113/year for both my 14 and GS1000. Geico.

I imagine you have your car(s) insured by the same company?

I had only the bikes insured through Geico since 2013. Premium has only gone up $3 since. I recently changed to Geico for the cars and saved some money.
I asked if I should add the bikes to the new car policy and they said the bikes would remain on their own policy. Wouldn't have saved me anything really because the bikes are so cheap. Part of the low premium might be because I claim 3,000 annual miles for "pleasure". Also, I'm 61 with no tickets for a looong time and no accidents. And I told them I like lizards.

I'll have to check with them.
