Rear Brake Line Bracket

I just had to get rid of that UGLY OEM bracket that held the OEM rear brake hose.
The OEM mounting tab welded to the swingarm was perfectly located and in the right position (vertically) to mate up with the bracket I made. Don't you just love it when it's EASY to fit custom parts!

You could probably sell a few of those on the forum in all seriousness. Looks good, couldn't agree more about how primitive the OEM brackets look. Couple things the Kawi engineers cut corners on & thats one of them. Probably a cost reduction RCI within the engineering dept??

One of the reasons I learned to machine and design parts was because ugly parts and components annoyed me.
What bugged me was that someone was paid to sit down and design a part from scratch - which they did - they designed an UGLY PART.
Even more frustrating to me was that designing and manufacturing an UGLY part often COSTS MORE than making an attractive part.
GO FIGURE!
Engineers need more training in the fundamentals of design.

Ya..the bracket looks excellent. But in all fairness to the Kwak engineers...MAYBE...they designed their brackets for a specific purpose....perhaps keeping the line close to the swingarm protected it in case of a fall over or somethin?IDK.I always thought a simple piece of "wire" loop as they have it actually looks okay.Unobtrusive and functional.Yours looks great!
