Hey Blackzx14R and Chrly
I would be interested in purchasing two (l & R) if you have the time. all I need is the brackets.
I made something very close to that years ago for my 07. However it was made from a thick piece of nylon plastic block used for making guides.
I no longer have the tools to do that. Plus the Aluminum is a much better product.
PM me if you are interested
Thanks
Great job.
I will probably take them to get powder coated.

BlackZX14R and Chrly,

I would also be interesting in 2 of these brackets. I have a new 2016 ZX14R Special edition and not ready to drill holes around the gauges yet. This is a great set up. Can you PM me all the info if you are still able to make them?

Thanks,
Chris

Not sure if Chrly answered you guy`s. Mine were made for my 2010 ZX14. Chrly had a friend make his I believe. I never followed up on Chrly if the bolt spacing and fork tube diameter clearance was good for the newer ZX14R. How bout you Chrly any input on this? Was the drawing good I sent you as far as fitment goes?

Blackzx14,
I didn't here back from Chrly but I will do some research and see if the bolt space and tube radius are the same from 2010 to 2016.

Thanks,
Chris

Blackzx14.
It looks like the forks and steering stems and handlebars are the same on the 2010 and 2016. So I'm thinking the bracket will work.

I ended up making my own brackets similar to what Blackzx14 had made. The 2016 handlebar mounts are slightly different. After have the local machine shop mill the brackets out for me I had to modify them slightly to fit the contour of the clip on mounting area. Then bought some longer bolts(M8x50 and M8x55) and SS locknuts. They turned out pretty good and are out of the way without having to drill by fairings.:)
I ended up with 2 extra brackets if anybody is interested. With machine shop time and material, I have about $35 in each bracket. But I will include the longer bolts and lock nuts that you need.

Re-revival!

How many amps does the horn draw and could it take heated grips and a socket?

My 12V power outlet sits almost the same way but on the right side. Instead of hard mounting it, i just zip tied it tightly to the front brake cable. Stays in place and works well.

FYI
I designed and made several sets of these a couple of years ago. Gave them away on the forum. Contacted my CNC guy two weeks ago to cut another 2 dozen sets. However I have not heard from him since sending him the template. I will call him this morning to see what’s up.
When I get them, i will have them powder coated. Then they will be up for grabs.
Just pm me if your interested in a single or set.
Oh, and there is no charge.

Hey Guys been a while since I posted. I bought 2020 ZX14R and needed a power outlet.
I tried the dash mount on the left side and plenty of room to install and a nice clean look to it.
After I put it back together I turned my bars to the right and was disappointed at the tight clearance
from the clutch lever to where I mounted the power outlet. I left it there and made another mount like on my
2010 ZX14. I think it just works better and no cables up across the dash while riding.

I installed a 12v socket at the master brake reservior and ran the connector to the Tender Bender pigtail in this location. I changed the 3Amp fuse to 15Amp so I can use the connection for my Air Compresser.

Extrapolator
I perplexed why it is taking so long to get them delivered. I wonder if he lost my contact info! I am reluctant to call, for fear of feeling pushy.

But I will post when I have them.
I am have 24 brackets made.
I need two
One guy wants one
Another asked for two.
Maybe another two for a friend that may have lost the two I sent him.
That accounts for 7.
No problem if you want a set!

Also wire them up to the tender pig-tail. However I use a set of four micro relays and fuse holders to isolate and have one hot and the other keyed.

I have posted about this elsewhere

I got the brackets back from the fabricator around November. I still have several sets left. If you want one or two brackets let me know.

I think I have 6/12 left.

Guys, big shout out to ZXAdventure. Just installed his brackets along with a USB and 12v PowerPoint sockets and now have power. Works great! Using a gifted home-made harness that plugs into the battery tender harness to power the outlets.

You guys should reach out to him quick. He has a few pairs of brackets left!

Chris and to all. I stepped away from the 14 for a year. I just picked up a new 2019. I am out of the brackets and need a set myself. I have contacted the fabricator that I used before about making another dozen sets, or so. I am curious if there is an interest in them and how many people would like a set. I should be hearing back from him this up coming week.
