Notice the shots of the blue headers on the 2R. Is that down to different construction or are they just getting so damn hot? Maybe the headers on the road bike are double skinned?

Now I'm definitely impressed. The first track test videos looked almost like I could have been riding that bike. That was supposedly a professional rider? If I'm buying an H2 (I wish), I need to see that a pro can ride it faster than me on my 14.

Second vid, 5:24. Look at him shift in that corner! Would you do that on your 14? I'd say that's at least 8000 rpm and he's not on the gas light!

6:10 he's stretching to touch an elbow! I see him just about there while maintaining a pretty normal riding position in other parts of the vid.

H2R, 227 mph and still pulling!

I'm anxious to hear what you guys's H2 does! If I had the money I'd buy one away from one of those poor suckers who are trying to back out. Better yet, I'd mod an H2R for the street and sneak out as often as I dare. Put a light on that things and nobody is going to know after dark. Better have a powerful light for 227 mph!

Well a good video and pretty much in line with what we were thinking from the start, the handling on the H2 falls somewhere between a Supersport bike and a hyper sport like the ZX-14R, it's not going to hold a line as well as a literbike due to the added weight but the drive down low off the corners should be epic. These bikes fit into their own niche, you buy one for the experience more than the expectation to set a new lap record. Going into it with that expectation it should be fun out on the road if you have room to open it up. I'm afraid where I live these bikes would be over the top, I'm having most fun now on my 600 due to the tight technical nature of the roads in my area. Grn, enjoy your new ride, should be exhilarating on those Montana highways.

I think it will..be exhilarating that is.Shit...I can only ride to my abilities.I doubt I'll ever see the full potential of it.Maybe.IDK.I certainly don't want to wreck it.Looks to me like it's user friendly.Kinda hard to go full tilt with any of these bikes on the street. The weight thing is gonna be interesting...I'm so used to my 14.And never ridden a 1000.Those guys were saying 'you have to get used to this bike to ride it 'correctly'(something like that). They've all ridden 10's and such.So for me,it's gonna be a real new thing.

Concerned just a bit about the paint. They sent flyers out to the selling dealers about uncrating and handling this bike straight from the crate to 'cleaning' it from the shipping and all. They even are sending a special(???)cleaning solution with the bike for the dealers to use on it.Initially.Down to the techniques for cleaning it,wiping it down, buffing it out.I'm gonna be there when it arrives(uncrating)and all.I'll most likely NOT have em do any cleaning of it.I can do that when it's home here...and I can take my time with it.The paint cannot be 'fixed'.
Up here, there's lots of times cages will kick pebbles up in front of ya.So I'm gonna have to be cautious following anyone.I usually get past anyone ahead of me...or hang well back. But lots of trucks. We'll see.Maybe not so bad.

Supposed to be here sometime this month.I plan on spending a lot of miles on it this year...just hoping for the best with this machine.Maintenance schedules and procedures don't look intimidating.Plug changes at 30K.That's different.Fuel pump at 30K.Break-in is the same as all the other Kawi sportbikes.

Thought those newest vids were well done.Guys seemed to be railing good there.Encouraging.

They do have a beautiful paint on that bike. Hope it lasts but it's cosmetic. You could always repaint it some day if you need to. If it's clearcoated, I don't see what the concern is. Maybe it's not.

I can't imagine it anything but the black chrome OEM paint but plain old black would do nicely. ..Or a deep grey if you go for classy understatement.

Hi Kruz...yup...pretty stoked.Should be here soon...maybe a couple of weeks?Guys are getting letters about March deliveries. It seems like Kawasaki is somehow trying to get these ordered bikes at the dealers at approximately the same time...they indicated a few times recently that they were gonna have district reps be there when the owners picked these up.Don't know about here...kinda out from the mainstream and all.I think there MAY be TWO H2's here....Only mine at this area.Maybe it was in Oklahoma or Wyoming....not sure.I don't really WANT some 'big deal' made about all this.I just want to get her...prep her..and RIDE;)

They were running those track tires in the vids...wonder what my bike would behave like with tires like those?

Track tires on the street are never a good idea, aside from the legality issue of not being DOT approved, you'll need tire warmer's to get them up to operating temp and then keeping them there is problamatic unless you have one killer corner after another. The DOT legal street/track tires like the Pirelli Super Corsas are probably the best as they will heat up rapidly giving you good stick right out of the gate. Those track tires are a whole different animal, epic levels of traction but unforgiving if you don't get them hot. I've heard lots of sob stories of guys crashing in the first turn on cold track rubber.
