Those gizmos plus a pair of T-Rex sliders would share the load. Could be enough to reduce the frame cracking? IDK without a load analysis on engine mount bolted joint. My thought is at low speeds it helps the the garage flopper, at high speeds the engine mount in the frame probably does crack but so what the rest of the bike is totaled so I dont care.

What's more expensive to replace? Frame, Engine, fairings? Those sliders look nice but if frame sliders can break the frame, those can break the engine case. I'd get racing engine covers like Woodcraft if I really thought I stood a good chance of going down. Let the fairings take the brunt of a slide. The only thing sliders are good for on the 14 are to reduce damage in a garage tip over and those look like they might be a little better than frame sliders alone.

Say you are touring and go down, bike slides on the case and oil goes everywhere. How can you prevent that?

lol Rudy touche. I guess I was thinking more along the lines of about the most they will be good for.

These things I think it's purely a personal choice. All of them are uglier than fuck, look like warts. Then their expensive. So who cares, you ruin a $400 set of warts or cause $400 in damage in body work. Not really sure what's worth what.

IMO if there was at least some gurantee putting these things on my bike that no damage at such adn such speed would occur it might be worth it. Even a garage tip over, my guess is at least 3 parts on the motorcycle are going to touch down and be blemished/damaged. So what's the point? If you can't deal with a 50 cent sized blemish on your fender, I can't see how you're going to deal with a quarter sized blemish on your fender just because you had a frame slider. And your frame slider's scraped up now too... so it needs replaced.

If complete frame slider systems were like $50, yeah would probably make sense. By the time you put these warts all ove your bike you're going to have $500-1000. Exactly what are you saving?

Around here I can't see frame sliders being much benefit. Our roads are in such shit condition, if you lose footing and have a tip over chances are a sliders going to land in uneven pavement anyway, pot hole, dip, low spot, etc.

I kind of like the look of sliders but that's just a matter of personal taste. True, even if you have sliders and you drop your bike at 0 mph, you will probably still have paint damage but I'm sure it will be a lot easier to live with than without sliders. I dropped my busa in the driveway without sliders and the whole side was very obviously rashed up whereas if I had had sliders, it would probably have been something I would have fixed rather than replaced..........and then I dropped it again!!!! Glad I hadn't replaced the fairings yet. This time they had broken tabs though so there was a real need to get new ones.

I'd check out webikejapan and AliExpress for some China sliders. You probably can buy those for a lot less than the price of replacing just the delrin parts on the Satos....and for our purposes, cheap sliders will probably work as good.

I like my 2 mounting point LSL sliders but I have been told by a couple owners that even those broke their frame in a slide and the bike was totaled.

One thing that seems like a plus is bendable bolts. If the sliders have that, I think that would be safer than 2 mounting points that don't bend.

Err what I meant was placing your feet on them, it's actually pretty nice if you have convertibars installed, awkward the the stock bars though.

A little sportbike yoga can be good once in a while.

i have SATO bar ends, Look great,, but are so light,, they have no vibe damping ability,,, ZX 10RR

I removed bar ends from my busa and 14 and I can't tell the dif. I plan to go with flat disc motor cross bar ends or cut some aluminum ones myself. Just a half inch thick just to dress the end of the bars up and cover the rounded plastic tip.

I know im referring to a ZX 10, and SATO bar ends.
Notible difference. but hardly. Only rode the bike once with the SATO bar ends. If they were already there. I probably wouldn't have thought a thing of it.
