armband mounted GPS
03/25/14 2:11 PM

I have found a wrist mounted GPS from Garmin that is used as a simple hiking point to point tool.

Garmin Foretrex 401

Seems to me there should be a wrist or arm band mounted GPS with maps, which makes it a lot easier to avoid mounting on the bike, and saves room for a camera.

Has anyone seen such a beast?

Nope but I would rather have that than a bike mount for sure.

I would rather have a bike mounted GPS, and do. It is right where I can see it without taking my eyes off the road. It pipes directions into my helmet speakers.

Works like a charm, have done huge trips (1,000+ miles) and find the GPS is worth its weight in gold.
