What you finally got around to doing it ?

I'm very happy with mine. Still think it ended up too thin on top, so I had my nephew the welder put an 1/8" gusset on the "inside" and weld it to the top support on both pegs.

I mentioned this before on the Buell peg mods, but cant remember what section I put it in, but here goes again - file more off the bottom than the top - the bottom will be in compression and the top in tension - if the bottom lets go your peg is still there, unlike the top mount - I have had mine since '06, 18K miles, 250+ lbs., and no trouble at all, feel safe standing on them and bouncing - great improvement in comfort, specially now that I have hit "geezer" status (over 55) the old beat up knees dont fold up like they used to. If both are filed down the top just looks too thin for safety. Best mod I have made (of many) for comfort +10

Even easier... just buy a good quality aftermarket pegs.

Oberon makes some really nice pegs!
