Does anyone know if gen 2 lower fairings will fit gen 1?

I wanna say yes, but some of the sides are the touchy points.
Tail = yes
Seat = yes
Nose = yes
Gas tank = yes
Tank tops = yes
Ferrari slots = ?
Side panels = ? Those have that rubber peel over areas that the gen1 do not.
Engine sump brackets = Yes? Look up each bracket and if those are the same part number between gens.. Yes for the lower mounts.

*Optional:
Say you made a bracket but you don't want to drill and tap into the frame = Amazing Glue will mount every fairing part on there but getting it off? Silly wabbit, be wearwee, wearwee careful pulling it off.

I don't think they will...the top lip for one thing is shaped differently.The upper inner fairing on the gen1 has two screw holders.The Gen 2 has three.Plus the tabs.So that part attachment won't work.You do mean the 'midfairng'...right?And like Hub says...that rubber cover in there...on the gen1...there is no place to secure it...the shape in there is different on the gen1.

Maybe it can be modified somehow?I would think by now that someone somewhere has tried to do this on a gen1....I have heard this question asked before...

One of the things they did with the gen 2 is...design the frame a bit(slightly) differently...whether that's by stiffening for the bigger motor...or what...IDK...but they said they did.So the side covers just may not align to the gen1 bolt holes....????(the tank cover/airbox for one).
