*sigh* I did a quick search on this and didnt find anyone that came across this problem.

So i bought a case off a zx14 guru here in TO and sent it off for replating at Mill. (Dont ask why i didnt send the 08 case... I had my reasons) The jugs should be here next week so i decided to reassemble the tranny in the bottom 1/2 of the case. All the parts I removed from my blown engine were from an '08 and i figured it would fit back into the case i bought... I was wrong. Turns out the case i was sold is an 06-07 ! So there ARE internal parts of the 08+ that do not fit in an 06-07 case...

Now im F'd if there are any other items that will not fit from an 08 into an 06...

Anyone else know if i am going to get any surprises?

Buy an '06 bearing plate brace. That solves that.

Crank and clutch basket do not interchange. Why? One is radial cut, the other is a straight cut at the clutch basket.

Thanks Hub. So my 08 clutch basket and 08 crank will still fit the 06 case though correct? Just cant have 08 crank & 06 clutch basket? Right?

a. I'm going to lay that in and see.
b. If I get backlash, I'm in.
c. If I have no noise or it's tight as they both drop in the U grooves, no joy.
d. If I have backlash like clang-clang, no joy.

Correct.
a. You are the triviaboy now, because that's all I know about the inside are crk/clutch.
b. You get into a bind, there are enough eyes to figure out a solution.
c. You use this as your assembly thread and any question hides something so think it, ask it.
d. You now take over knowing the internal assembly as to what and what does not work. Have fun.
