Yes, planet, that was me and welcome! I'm rebuilding a set of front forks, ran out of contact cleaner cleaning parts for before assembly. BTW, did you happen to see me take off on you? That was to see if you happened to notice a puff of smoke or any smoke coming out of the exhaust?

If you say no, then I have 3 different oil weights mixed in the bike now. So really, it doesn't matter the oil. When you talked about the Rotella and I said to go buy that, I forgot to mention how that oil would shift the best between any 4 quarts of synthetic oils, or base grades used. And I've used plenty of oils if I now average 2,700 miles on each dump. I'm up to 13K and you have witnessed the bike evolve to what it looks like now.

Like I mentioned, all those switches are for diagnostic purposes. Someone has a no-start condition, reads the code off, maybe we can get it started or find out other components with that phantom tie-in to that code.

I don't know how many miles are on your bike now, but I rather you take a ride when I have the stock throttle body on and we are both stock. Then you compare the way your bike runs, and how mine runs. I wanted to more piss you off, you had to jump back on yours!

Hub i did not see any smoke when you took off..i cant imagine a 14 running stronger off the bottom,it hits pretty good at 4k stock and really gets with it...seems this motor puts out alot of heat and gets hot in traffic...stock anyway...not going to start an oil debate but the good ones are a known quantity..

Hub i did not see any smoke when you took off..

Appreciate it, planetZX. My debate is about 30 year old known qualities of oil that are moving that bike along all smokeless. And that too, should have shown some sort of lean damage I've been playing with a subless ride more than sub'd since day one.

i cant imagine a 14 running stronger off the bottom, it hits pretty good at 4k stock and really gets with it...

Maybe you should ride the bike now, without flies, "i cant imagine?" Wanna bet? I rather you ride the stock setup. I'm sure you have a nice merc reading if say a manometer were to be hooked up. Then again???

seems this motor puts out alot of heat and gets hot in traffic...stock anyway...not going to start an oil debate but the good ones are a known quantity..

What is known are the close tolerances of a new bike engine. In turn, it will make a lot more heat when new. The more you ride, the more she wears in.

At the most, I have 3 bars reading on the surface streets. Freeway drops it one, or I time the street lights, she runs 2 bars all day long no matter the heat or heatwave we are running into now. Give it time, she'll cool down with more miles clocked.

the 14 is the strongest stock bike i have owned, kinda what i meant Hub..[even more grunt than my former bandit 1250- a deceptively fast bike, just ask the local highway patrol] ..hotter than hell here lately..got lucky, the first 1200 miles were cooler than normal temps..first oil change done along the way..now i'm going to chill until the monsoon passes...i'm sure the bike will also over time..hello again everyone
