Any chance your wearing polorized glasses? Only time I have a hard time with mine is polorized glasses through the face shield.

Don't know about the gen2 instruments but the gen1 tach and speedo are easy to read in the day. The red light is a lot harder at night. I have seen people change LEDs color in the clocks so maybe you could investigate something brighter. If you want to brighten up the multifunction meter, I don't think it's possible.

You could research illumiglo gauges. The one with lighted background is bright enough to light up the rider,s chest and face at night.

I should have been more precise.. It is the mulitifunction meter that I have a hard time with.. Toledo you made me stop and think.. Last time I had my RX changed on my glasses I found I had cataracts beginning. ANd from what I have read, that could be the problem. Just hate to admit it I guess .. Bummer getting old :)

Who old chrly I'm 53? I went in for a vision check once because I was having an issue seeing multiple dots instead of 1 when I had a magnifier behind my Aimpoint red dot optic. Even took the sight in with me to the eye doc. Turns out I have a very slight astigmatism.

To me, seems like astigmatism has the same effect as far sightedness. Only time you know you have it is when you take the test. Easily corrected with toric contact lenses along with focus problem from nearsightedness.

IDT think there is any way to correct for the mutifunc LCD lacking daytime illumination, however.

I'm considering a small LED light mounted under the radar detector bracket.
