Cat question
10/23/15 12:38 PM

I was told by Delkelvic their slip-on's will retain the Cat but wouldn't that only be true of the Gen 1 where the cats are in the header? She said it would be really loud if the cat came out with the stock pipe.

2006-2007 = Cats in mufflers.
2008-211 = Cats in mufflers and header.
2012-2015 = Cats in mufflers only.

So removing the stock pipes is going to produce a lot of noise to matter what? I was hoping the Delkelvics would be hardly noticable on the highway with the baffles in> A lot of the C14 guys are saying that.

I believe slips are a straight shot out, so yes, loud is the hp game. Baffles may have a slot for it, but no broomstick is going to stop mid-pipe? My slips were too loud around the neighborhood so I mickey moused snuff'or'nots at the rears.

Grn, LOL, no... Ferrite Core or, oh look a map grid! Now that's a muffler bearing to chew on till the core is reached.

I'm fixated on the computer's physical moves, if not every move. I was reading about 'coincident-current,' RAM and ROM, ferrite core to name a few parts and functions. I go online and looked up the physical 'ferrite core' as an image. You are looking at 'write wires' and 'read wires' passing thru that core. So the theory goes... Store an 0, a magnetic field circles clockwise around that ring; Write a 1 it goes ccw; X and Y directions at 4 corners more or less. A sense wire finds the path of open gates going in one direction. So this is more of a path for written RAM and ROM.

This is the memory core area.

2012-2015 = Cats in mufflers only.

Cats are in the headers. Just before the split to the mid pipes. If you put aftermarket slip ons on and kept the std headers your cats would still be there. Cats are easy to remove if you want to keep the std headers.

Cats are in the headers.

Not in the USA. The mid pipe cat is Euro/Aussie.

Ah, trivia. Cats must be placed at 3-points to meet euro4 standards, whereas the western cats are placed in the mufflers only.

Saw my wifes cat sneaking around behind my bike once so I shewed her away. I don't want no cat in my bike. She is good about keeping the mice out of the garage though!
