coolant for racing

I was watching this drag strip show, (PINKS) and they were saying "no antifreeze allowed in the cars." This was obviously to keep the strip from getting oily. But I never thought of it in terms of bikes on the drag strip. Is it typical that racers use water only when racing?

Distilled water mixed with a product called "Water-Wetter" (I'm sure there are others), real common in racing circles. The additive boosts waters ability to shed heat without being slippery should it get on the track. No antifreeze allowed was the rule all the years I spent roadracing, yet I have been running at the strip here in Tucson and the No Antifreeze thing hasnt come up. I guess it depends on the tracks rules and no doubt the level of competition.
