Leaving Monday or Tuesday (12th) for Wisconsin event. Then VA/NC line event, GA event, MO event, AL event.

That and a few weeks in the forest gets me to Fall. Using a long corkscrew loop to leave Alabama and end up in Florida, where I'll winter. They have very nice forests, some great State and County campgrounds, and a bunch of private campgrounds. I usually pamper myself every other week with a private campground, where I can sit in the lounge in a/c and catch up on news.

Now in possession of a PA ccw, a Virginia ccw too. Packing heat all the time. Fuck with me, cause me to fear for my life, and your dead. Hell, on a deserted road your dead before I start fearing all that much. But be respectful and speak to me, you get respect and conversation back.

I once stopped in a decently off the road turn out that had a big RV in it. Knocked on the door. They were a little afraid. Said, I'm in the hammock between the bike and trailer, please don't run over me if you leave first in the morning. We had coffee and talked. Nice people.

For the most part I love truckers. Half at least flash high beams at me when I pass to let me know I have room to pull back over. I don't go very fast. I'm towing a heavy trailer, and aside from increased stopping distance, it cuts into my fuel mileage big time. So often I'm 5 under, in the right lane, feet up on the highway pegs, cruise set, rocking to tunes. Which doesn't mean I'm disengaged from riding and paying attention. It just means, I'm a damn gypsy, and why should I be in a hurry to get to the next forest that is less than 5 hours away.

The big miles I do come from the sum of the trip, not a burst.

My trike is the horse, my camper the wagon. I live for the campsite, not the road. Though I love the road, the sights, the people I meet.

Thanks man!

If anyone uses Facebook, find JR Gypsy (there is only one, but in case, only one with the red trike and me in the picture) and friend request it.

I will post pictures and commentary. Also, my SpotWalla link under trip JR is good for the rest of the year. I fixed the link above.

I unfollow all who friend request, nobody's feed will bleed into it. Maybe once, but then no more. But that leaves the friend status so you see the pictures on your own timeline.

Going to sell my 2014 F-150 XLT rather than make it sit in the storage unit on float charger all the time.

Glad you found it. I am starting a public page, The Life, search term @gypsyjr , where I will publish all my pictures and stories. Going to take me a week or so to figure out how to make it work.

While in winter camp, stopped by my southern storage unit to modify the trailer. Here is the RTIC 45 super-cooler installation, something I badly needed. Fabricated an aluminum deck that I attached to the existing fiberglass nose, after cutting the aerodynamic "hump" off (mostly) and glassing it closed again.

Got the generator I've wanted a long time, for times I'm camped in a dispersed primitive forest (no rangers, just pick any old spot, no services either).
