Feature in this weeks MCN with a shootout between the 2R and a SC 760bhp AMG63 Merc. The cars acceleration is limited by the rear tyres apparently. That car needs 4wd! Shame the 2R can't be made road legal.

Not surprised by the results, I'm also 100% a regular H2, 14, busa, and most 1000cc supersports would also make short work of that mercedes.

The Bugatti Veyron is 1000+ HP with AWD and wouldn't stand a chance against a bone stock ZX10. Not sure why everyone tries to pit bikes against cars. It's not even fair.

I don't agree. The 'standard' Veyron can run low 10's standing quarters, almost as quick as a well launched Zx10. I wouldn't call that "not standing a chance". It'll reach 300k in under 17secs, the 'Supersport Veyron will reach the same in under 15secs. That's faster than a ZX10. On outright top speed and especially braking the Veyron (and several other high end super cars) will waste anything on 2 wheels. Pinning that sort of performance to the road is also far easier on 4 wheels. On the strip many bikes will come close but that isn't even half the story. In the real world on real roads then the cars have it. Just don't try chasing a high powered Audi Quattro through some bends, especially in the wet 'cos it will dissappear. JMO

A showroom stock ZX10 and my personal 14R in showroom stock form went 9s. Flashed and otherwise stock she'll go 200+. I guess if you really wanted to go the very fringe of what each vehicle will do then yes eventually the car will creep by.
