ok this is my first post on here...i do not have a 14 but may be looking soon. I currently have an 03 R1 and i love the thing but i am kinda looking at something more "roady'. I still love to shred and was actually looking at the New Beamer and Aprillia RSV4...as for the big bikes the busa has always caught my eye, But the other day i really got to looking at the 14..and it started to really appeal to me. I am 5 ft 8 and about 175lbs, the weight and size of the bike is what has turned me away. without trying to read every post on here...could you guys please give some insight on what really stands out about this bike as well as the bad things,,thanks in advance

Mostly a matter of appeal.The stock seat is hard.Plenty of power...yes.Extremely smooth ride quality throughout the rev range.Easy IMO to maintain.Easy oil changes.Lots of aftermarket stuff for whatever you might want to change.Pulls like a freighttrain.Torque everywhere.Front discs have a tendency to judder.(unless the new models had this addressed somehow).Brakes are powerful and secure.Will out power anything out there that's non-modded.No literbike handling....but very nimble nonetheless.Good mileage for a BIG engine.Can be flogged or cruised with equal ease.Should be perfect for your size.

Handling...she's secure leaned in...holds a line very well.Can set your curve line and remove your hands...she'll stay right where you point er.Plenty of weight on the frontend to discourage headshakes.Never had one yet.Not even close.You will love this bike.

just went and looked at it again...i just dont think i want a red one.....silver or black....i like the blue but hard to find in my area

welcome aboard, Im 5'9 I was 210 and dropped down to 185. The 14 is awesome, I also hate the red, that was the original color of my bike, now its carribean sand (off white). what year are you planning on getting?

it is a 2010...he say $10,500

but i like it and the red is starting to grow on me.....they make Paint lol

i got it today...man so far i love it..comfy, smooth not near the vibration the R1 had...maybe after Christmas i put some Akrapovic slip on's...... yes indeed..she red and fine
