70 f is 21c
it was 4 degrees this morning on way to work..C
we average very very few days a year over 21c
our average temp in july, our hottest month...(usually) is 16C, thats 60F avwerage for our hottest month
so i could say it almost doesnt get over 70 degrees here all year!!!

you can buy used scrubs here bout 25 dollar, treaded track tires, but you get too many slides as its dam hard to keep the up to optimum temp, especially in winter, impossible, so they aint really worth the effort
your slicks are designed to be ridden hard, very hard, you will see the tire become blueish in places, although excessive heat can be generated by incirrect tire pressure, or bad suspension set up

I have all of winter to clean them off, Vic! She's sleeping now.

It was one of the best summers for riding I've had. I don't believe we ever got 100 F but many days in the 90s. It never fell below 80 in mid summer and there were very few days of rain. With that kind of weather, I'd never even ponder leaning my hardest when its 70 F. Those tires were made for lower track temps but even that has a hard time comparing to high street temps. It's not smart to go all out for long where I ride. Houses, livestock, police, farm equipment...same old story.

My summer started off awesome. I was loving those Rosso IIs and having fun at some of my frequent places. Then I slowly lost those places I could push the bike and really have fun and work out some anxiety. I didn't even ride for like 5 weeks in July and August I was so depressed over losing those spots. I put back on 30-40 lbs.

At any rate I've been logging some miles more and more. I haven't hit triple digit speeds in quite a while. And it really is amazing, you spend enough time on a big zx at 40-60 mph and 80 on the highway will seem like light speed. Again, I'm thankful to local law enforcement for being cool. I pray every day that all of us clock in and clock out at the end of day like the old coyote/sheep dog cartoons whether it's working or playing. Every day LEO put their lives on the line, and I understand farting around with someone like me is the last thing they need.

Fortunately it's been a nice fall with a mix of warmer temps and not just summer->winter weather like it was last year. Today, I'll 20k miles on Evora! She's sitting at 19993, washed her and lubed up the chain and today's going to hit mid 70s so I'm planning on getting in a good few hours to ride. THe next few days are looking good too. I'm at about 5200 miles for the season, my goal was 7500 miles. I don't know I can make that, but I'm feeling good about at least riding again even if it's a little slower and for the most part I'm only using about the bottom 1/3rd of my tires.

GOD BLESS THE USA AND ALL THOSE WHO FIGHT FOR OUR FREEDOM, LIBERTY, AND JUSTICE!

It's just a fact of life up here. I used to ride until late December but it's all normal commuting in the weather we have. Better off to save the wear on the bike and put it away early.

It's slick time again. I came across a dealer on Ebay from Italy selling Metzler slicks. Great price and free shipping. Not responsible for import duties, tax, etc.

Does anyone know what the US customs laws are as far as additional charges on stuff from Italy (manufactured in Germany, I guess?)? I have never paid a cent extra for stuff from Asia, Pakistan or Britain.
