ZXSyko showed some frame covers on his bike in the Pics section. Has anyone any idea of where to find these? I've never seen them before but I'd like to know a bit more. I tried to send a PM but his name didn't appear in the list. ?? Thanks.

I have bought 2 sets of frame covers for my zx14 and both left sides have cracked. I thought I may have tightened the screw to much on the set, so I bought a second set and was very careful when I installed the second, well it also cracked . I contacted chromed out frame covers in Charlotte,nc were I purchased them and got with the owner to show him the problem. He agreed to replace the cover but nothing was never done, Be careful when purchasing these covers. All phone calls and emails will be ignored.

MAN, that sux. Thanks for the heads up. Only solution I see is to grind off the bottom of the hole and epoxy a steel sheet metal piece in its place. You have to torque those bolts so plastic won't cut it.

Thanks, I may try that. Before I put the covers on I put a little lock tight on the bolts to keep from cranking down on the covers and this still happened.

Here are pics of a bike with chrome covers that attach by some means other than the frame bolts. You might consider replacing with those covers.

The frame covers on my bike can be purchased at http://www.allthingschrome.net/ZX14-PARTS.html I cant really say how the company is or there service as I bought the bike with the covers already on it. Rook posted a link above to the bike.

On the zx14 frame cover that cracked, the seller did replace both frame covers. Thanks Chromed Out Frame Covers for fixing the problem.

Kudos to the seller and good on you for coming back to clear their name.
