I've seen other add-on lights that were disappointing looking, but I like the small package it retracts to, battery life, and visibility. I don't know how legal it is though.

Probably not. I can't imagine a cop writing you a ticket for that though. It's obviously safety equipment like reflective fabric. I would be very surprised if anyone would have a problem with the po around here over that. God knows we have gobs of police on the highways and expressways but I think they overlook everything tha is not a moving violation. One of the perks to living in Harley town, I guess.

In IL., any extraneous lighting on the vehicle, will get you pulled over. Since this isn't on the vehicle.........I don't want to go to court to see which way it falls. The video looked pretty cool though.

Good safety item. Recently we had a rider go missing for a month. If wearing something like this maybe they would see him in the dark.
But probably illegal here in California.
