Mirror / Saddlebag Compatibility Issues
04/02/17 10:39 PM

For those of the hardbag touring bent, you may be interested in this.

For this 14R build I installed bar-end mirrors, the CRG Arrow style. I loved the OEM mirrors on my '13, but figured I'd try something a bit sportier. Without luggage they performed very well and certainly improved the looks of the bike. Imagine my disappointment a few months later when I mounted up my Givi V35s and topcase to go for a night ride, and all I could see were the fronts of the saddlebags! It was interesting with no rearward visibility other than the glow of headlights silhoutting my hard bags. I've even got helibars, so the bar ends were as high up as possible, along with the mirrors being set at max height.

Oh well, back to the stockers. I guess I'll be putting those bar-ends on another bike.
