4 into 1 exhaust
12/24/14 8:01 PM

Has anyone fitted a 4 into 1 on their 2012 14r? I am thinking this will be my next project but its hard to know what to fit. I really like the hindle system, light and heaps of grunt, but any other thoughts out there. Oh will also be fitting power command & dyno tune for this mod.

In the USA lots of Brock's fans and you get maps from him to throw into your PCV. The Brocks SS systems are made by Hindle. The PCV is nice for fine tuning but not necessary. if you look at many of the maps they are actually pulling fuel in places so you are plenty safe to run an aftermarket pipe without worrying about damaging the motor. Muzzy makes a nice pipe for the 14r and it is much cheaper than the Brocks. Also as some have found the old Akrapovic 4-1 system works great on the bigger 14r.

In the end they all subract a huge amount of weight and add some power so get what you thinks looks best. If you want to remove the factory hanger and rear pegs it limits your choices to just a few.

Will you lose power on the low end, which it typical with 4-1 systems? It doesn't look like it from the dyno charts I've seen of the Akra

I run the Brock's Titanium CT Meg. It's super light and makes fantastic horsepower. I do think it lost a bit down low, but this bike makes so much power that the slight loss was more than made up for past 4,500rpm.

On a similar note, the prices some of these companies charge for an exhaust is wacky

2K plus is ridiculous to ask unless it's gold plated. And to think some of the Termi systems are 3K.

Thats insane. But, people pay it. (I gave $2295 for mine) So...

if you think US prices are high come to the UK where they are roughly 40% above those quoted above. my question is can you guys recommend a US supplier for Akro 4 into 1 for the 2010 model who will ship to Europe? also, guys that swap to akro, brocks etc always seem to go for re-mapping the ecu. is that a necessity or just a tuning tweak that goes with the better flow pipes?
