2013 zx14r water temperature sensor harness
11/12/17 5:42 PM

Okay so I know the plug for my water temp sensor comes from the left side over the cylinder head cover and through the 3 and 4 throttling body. I'm rebuilding my bike and was forced to replace my main harness. This harness is not marked.
I'm looking for the part number of the small sub harness that plugs into this 8 pin female plug. so I can finish my bike. It's the only thing kept me from firing my bike

Sounds like you mean the engine subharness? The 8 pin is the large black one that connects to the main harness on the LH side? The water pump plug (looks like a 3 or 4 pin on my Gen1) is the small black at the other end, you have a grey connector for the camshaft sensor wire and a white for the PAIR solenoid?

I see your problem. Not listed on the parts fiche.

You replaced your main harness.Okay,so where's the harness that plugged into the main?I looked on the parts fiche. There isn't a separate harness.Only the plugs coming off the main.Looked in the appendix also.In the service manual.I wasn't sure what that 'harness' is called. You might look in there, see if you can identify that part.Wire and cable guide section.
Do you have a lead coming out with a plug on it?Seems it would plug into the main, yes? If the main is properly routed that is.You said "I know the plug for my water temp sensor comes from the left side over the cylinder head cover and through the 3 and 4 throttling body". Reading this,it sounds like the 'wiring' is already on the motor or whatever.Through the 3 and 4 throttlebodies..then the plug should connect onto the main somewhere in that area?

"This harness is not marked"...none of em are 'marked'. You have to look in the 'electrical' portion of the manual...it show you were all the plug leads are going from the main..in a schematic.AND the wire/cable/hose routing section. In the appendix.
I don't think there's a 'separate' harness, except what you say is the 'plug' going over the cylinder head and such.

I looked on the 'fuel injection' section of the fiche. There IS a harness in there, and also it shows the water temp sensor.I guess those two parts being in there denotes they 'go together'?26031HARNESS

Look in the appendix section on pg 17-33.#3.(below the diagram)Maybe that can help clear up the 'connection' deal?

Take a look at this wire harness to see if you can locate the small connector that plugs into the 8 pin female plug. This wire harness is listed for a 2012 ZX-14R.

holy shit!

It's the black with yellow insides. Third pic from last. It's in a few others. That's a Furikawa 8 pin. Availble online but you need the engine subharness which wouls start with a female Furikwawa 8 pin.

I think he means it's not marked as in it's not marked in the parts fiche.

I checked Ebay. Nothing. Call a dealership. Order from them if they can get a pic with the part number to verify. Engine subharness. Stick coil subharness is the grey loom on top. They don't show that in the fiche either. Good luck.

Nice $60. I would consider buying that because I want to make my own wiring harness someday and I'll need all the plugs. This one won't help Trexxxl though because I don't see an engine subharness.

Trexxl must have found the missing wire. Hope the bike is up and running.

Oh well, at least I know I have a free main harness anytime I want it.

FREE?....j/k

One thing about this forum...you can always count on the 'well, how'd it turn out?' to get mysteriously....left out.
