Picked up a set of Rearsets from tophomeglobal off ebay..Looks like I am going to have to do some modifying..On the shifter side , the shift rod is an inch too long, at the minimum. Cut and drilled my old shift lever to have a place to attach forward heim joint .

I could not figure the mounting of teh brake side..Impossible to attach rear master cylinder..

No time to replace units so going to combine stock with the new to make things work..

Sometimes you really do get what you pay for...$119.00 delivered..Oh well. Now I can set the bike up with reverse shift .. Been doing all my bikes that way for the past 15 yrs or so...

How about some pics of your mods and rearsets?

Those are tempting because the price is so low. When it comes to critical controls I'm not sure I can risk it based on price alone and the biggest problem with that stuff is as you're seeing is quality control. Next thing you know you're riding along and your foot can't locate the peg only to look down and discover it's gone. I have read about them falling apart while riding. As many success stories I've read about the ~$150 sets I've read horror stories of not fitting right, binding, linkage bending, etc.

Running without both wheels having functional braking also seems extremely undesirable. Rear brake light is one thing, although I like to use the rear brake just for flashing that I'm slowing down.

I believe locktite would solve a lot of problems . I think I will use a combination of the stockers and the new stuff. This morning I have to send pics to tophome global so they can help, They were very fast to reply and appear to actually want to help..We shall see...

Casper, Thanks for the link and teh posts.. I think my problem on brake side can be solved with spacers.. will check tomorrow..Shift side was fine except rod too long.. Since I am installing Quickshifter tomorrow, that problem will be addressed.. Thanks again for the info...

For the rear braklight to work you just need to buy the pressure switch that mounts inside the master cylinder. You will most likely need to use spacers on the shift side as depending on where you set the rear sets position there will not be enough clearance between the shift rod and shift pedal. Also the shift rod angle needs to be as straight as possible for the quick shifter to work correctly.

I have plenty of room on the shift side. Just have to space out the brake side..
Mine came with alternative brake lite switch .

Which quick shifter are you installing? I went with the annitori qs pro. You maybe able to cut and re-tap the one supplied. Here's my current setup with annitori sensor and shift rod. Reverse shift setup.

Well, with some help from TEKMOTO PERFORMANCE, my rearsets are on including teh Quickshifter and Power Commander.. Taylor from TekMoto swapped out a shift rod he had from another bike to allow the use of the Quickshift sending unit. The rod that was originally with my order was ten inches, which left absolutely no adjustment and the brakes side rearset was a really tight squeeze.. It has been raining here steady and between that and a lot of extra work, just have not had time for pics but maybe over the weekend if we get an hour of sunlight..
Tuesday is Dyno day for teh tune and whatever minor things left and then hopefully a first track day on the 3rd of January ( providing good weather) .

Casper, thanks again for teh write up and pics...They helped ...

Sounds great man. I ride with a group of guys out of modesto..dysturbed Ryders. We ride the Lagrange/ hwy49 , jaskson, mariposa area pretty much every weekend during the summer months. I did most of those tracks from 2011 - 2013 . Mainly on these bikes. Zx10 street/track. Zx14 mainly street. Sure we've crossed paths before

Finished the final touches on shift side this morning. Had to remove a tiny bit of material from lower fairing in order for Quickshifter to clear. Pleased with final result..Just took more experimenting to get angle comfortable than I had anticipated...
The original shift rod was 10 inches The new rod is 7 1/2 and that left room for the Quickshift .
